Prime Office 16 gives the user the option of using one of four menu screens. This is initially set by the administrator but can be changed by each user. In previous versions of Prime, the menu screen was the Book, with colorful tabs down the left and right side of the book. Change your menu preference anytime by going to View Menu Screen from the Ribbon Bar.


Blank

The first menu choice is the Blank screen, as mentioned above. You can choose the Blank screen as your Startup Screen and Main Menu. This means you would choose Prime’s functions only from the Ribbon Bar. As discussed above, this can be collapsed so only the titles show or can be set so the icons show all the time.


The Touch Tiles

The Tile interface provides an updated looking menu. 1) The Touch Tile Menu has the same choices included on the Ribbon Bar plus some additional ones.


2) The Quick column (at the far right) contains 4 short-cut tiles which can be adjusted by KCW so the most used functions are at the fingertips of your staff. It defaults to:

i) Eligibility Search

ii) Client Search

iii) Eligibility Add

iv) Time Batch

Notice how the the sub menu under the Add touch tile provides the same choices as the Ribbon Bar.


Book

The classic Menu Book interface, found in previous versions of Prime, is still available for users so that they will feel ‘right at home’. Some tabs redirect the user to choices on the Ribbon Bar for security reasons.


Quick Start

The Quick Start Menu only shows the most basic tasks in Prime, making training easier. This is useful for volunteers, law students, etc. There are buttons for adding, searching, reporting, and getting help on Prime’s main functions. KCW could further simplify this menu or add additional functions as needed by your office.


No matter what Startup or Menu your copy defaults to, you can choose to use another temporarily by going to View and picking the interface you want to use.
