Applicant--Difficult/Dangerous People
Appearance
- This form allows an office to track and find people who have been either difficult and/or dangerous while dealing with staff members.
- Up to five instances of problems with a person can be recorded. It allows the office to store:
- The date when the problem occurred
- At what stage it occurred (such as during eligibility, when the person comes in with a client, etc.)
- Who observed it
- The type of problem (swearing, violence, lying, etc.)
- The form stores a recommended response (signed agreement, call police, refuse representation, etc.)
- Add a Difficult Person on Eligibility or Client’s Intake
While you are in an Eligibility or Client’s record, you can add a difficult person and the name, case number, and contact information populates for you. Click on the Difficult Person button located at the bottom of the screen. This pulls up a box that allows you to:
- Add this Client (or Applicant) as a Difficult Person – This will pull up the difficult person’s input form shown below and add the client or applicant’s name and information. You can then document their instance
- Add a non-Client as a Difficult Person – If there was a child, spouse, friend, or other relative coming in with the client that you need to add (e.g. bi-polar child or husband)
- Search for Difficult People – Before adding this client or applicant as a difficult person, you should search for them in the Difficult People (DP) database using the DP Search screen
- Help – Get help on how to use this feature
- Cancel – Cancels adding this person as a difficult person and returns you to the form
This is where it is selected on the Eligibility sheet.
This is where it is selected on the Client Sheet.
It is also available on the Callback Sheet.
- Add a Difficult Person from the Input screen – You can also add a difficult person directly on the Difficult Person input form by going to Add Applicant Difficult People. This is the input screen for Difficult People.
