Bulk Add to Favorite Reports

From Prime 16 Online User's Manual

Favorite (Frequent) reports show up on the Today screen under the tab called Favorite (or frequent) reports. This makes it easy for staff to find and run reports they use on a frequent basis, without having to search for them. A report can be a form, report or query used to get information out of the system.

Do you want to be able to add a report to everyone’s list of favorite (frequent) reports WITHOUT going into the subfrequentreport table and adding a row for each person? An undocumented query automates this process for you. Called QAddReportToFrequentReports, when you run it you will be prompted for:

The name of the report

The staff member it will be added to (or blank for all)

The help text that will appear next to it, e.g., “Run this report weekly for a list of your senior clients.”

It is also easy to go into this query in the design mode and modify it so that it will save the report to only staff members in the consumer unit, managing attorneys, etc.

This query is present in most of the current versions of Prime.

To run it, go into the Navigation Pane, search for its name, and then either open it in the design mode or run it.

QAddReportToFrequentReports

Newer versions of Prime have this query run from the Custom Admin Page, available under the Admin Ribbon bar choice.
