Preview Search

From Prime 16 Online User's Manual

a) The Report Preview works the same as the Report Tree View but uses a search screen to search, preview, and/or run more than 500 reports in Prime. Like the other search screens in the system, you can use the Search Field pull down to find reports by name, description, or table. To preview a report, double click on one or select one and click on Preview.

b) You can browse reports by Tables and run them. 1) Click on the Browse button and select the table from the pull down you want to browse

2) The resulting reports will appear for that table

3) At the bottom of screen, you can see through the record count how many reports there are for that table

4) Browse the reports using the arrows in the lower left corner of the screen.

c) A difference between the Tree View and the Preview is that on the Report Preview, you can add your own screen shots of custom reports you have created. If you wish to add custom reports previews, you can do so by selecting Add on the Report Preview and follow the directions on the screen. Click on Toggle Controls and more controls will appear at the bottom of the screen. Note: You might have to scroll down to see these controls.

Follow the instructions on the screen to add your report or click on the Help to Add Custom Reports button to get more help on how to use this feature. You must have a .jpg screen shot of the report saved on your computer before adding it.

Note: An Add Report button exists on the Ribbon Bar Report choice that brings up a slightly different and simpler form that also allows adding reports.
