Reporting on Special Programs

Reporting on Special Programs provides a challenge to new users. Because the Special Program is, by definition, a custom intake sheet and table used by your office, Prime won’t have preprogrammed reports available for it. It order to get information out of it you have to ask, “Do I need just the information in the special program or do I need to combine it with information from another table such as clients?”

If you only need the information from the Special Program table use one of five methods:

i) Use the Simple Query Builder
ii) Build a custom Microsoft Query using the wizards and the grid design view
iii) Create a custom Microsoft Report using the wizards built into Microsoft Access.
iv) Use the Report Creator. However, you may first have to design a new record source explained elsewhere in this documentation.
v) Contact KCW and we can either work with you or build it for you.

If you need to combine the Special Program Table another table, you will not be able to use the Simple Query Builder unless you first create a custom query that combines the fields you want from the Special Program and the fields you need from the other table.
