Web:Geocodio - Political Districts
The system will use entered data for client (address, city, state) and will use that information to get data from Geocodio for political districts (US Congressional, and State Senate and House). This requires the organization set up an account with Geocodio. Then, within that account, create an API key.
Enter that API key into the Geocodio Administrative form. Go to Administration-->Geocodio-->Setup.
To use the system, within a client record, ensure the address, city, state, and zip code are entered for the client. Press the "Get Districts" button to have the system look up the political districts. If successful, the districts should appear. They will be saved to the client record. If an address is later changed and you wish to change the political districts to reflect the new address, press the "Get Districts" button again after the change.
UPDATE 03/06/2024 Automatically Check Political Districts Upon Address Entry
Within the administration system, you can check the "Automatically Lookup" checkbox. When a user enters the address, city, state, and zip code in a client record, the system will check to determine the political districts and will enter those.
